MIEKA DESIGNS Sarah Mieka dJong S. DJong was introduced to the allure of designing with beads by her grandmother who owned a bead store and to the beauty of glass by her uncle Timothy (de Jong). Concurrently her passion for both forms of art were nutured by her mother and these early influences would lead dJong (Sarah) to study art at Alfred University and eventually lampwork glass beadmaking in upstate NY with FDFerris of Quest Glass Studio.
